As the T-Virus continues to spread, Alice (Jovovich) maintains her mission to find survivors and keep them safe from the Undead, and to take down the Umbrella Corporation. Reteaming with Claire (Larter), Alice makes a dangerous journey to a new city that is said to be a safe haven: Los Angeles.

We're so not tired of this saga, and for those of you aligned with us: think how amazing Afterlife will be in 3-D! Screen Gems upped the budget for Paul W. S. Anderson to shoot the movie around the world with James Cameron's Fusion camera system. We especially love that the character Chris Redfield will make an appearance, played by former "Prison Break"er Wentworth Miller, who should find himself in more genre films in the near future. Extra-exciting is the notion that the whole thing looks like a long T.A.T.U. music video!
Casey Affleck documents Joaquin Phoenix's transition from acclaimed actor to aspiring rapper.
Buzz:
Frankly, today's Hollywood actors are too polished and normal for my tastes; give me someone unshaven and equally unstable any day. Even if Joaquin's recent trip was some sort of calculated experiment, I'm just happy to see him back on the big-screen. I really hope the icky claims against Casey Affleck turn out to be false, and I wonder if art-house types will flock to the documentary or to Catfish.
Four friends use a video camera and their Internet savvy to chronicle their buddy's attempt to lose his virginity.
Buzz:
No offense to rites of teen passage, but this sex comedy feels like it was made by the same kind of people who sit around and wonder how to make money off of twitter. That said, producers Will Ferrell and Adam McKay are a winning combo, and if co-directors Huck Botko and Andrew Gurland (who are like the Duplass Brothers of truly unnerving independent comedy -- check their back catalog) strike a balance between hard-R comedy and genuine coming-of-age, this low-budget experiment (a new trend for the genre) could shake up the box office and the industry alike.
Alex (Duris) and his sister Mélanie (Ferrier) run a business designed to break up unhappy relationships. But money is tight, causing them to go against their principles to stop the daughter (Paradis) of a rich man from marrying her true love. Another problem: the wedding is in one week.

This European hit makes its way across the Atlantic with three of the dreamiest stars France has to offer; who will star in the inevitable remake?
Seven close friends reunite for a picture-perfect seaside wedding, though an old rivalry between the bride (Paquin) and her maid of honor (Holmes) resurfaces, jeopardizing the nuptials.
Buzz:
The odd thing about this romance isn't that it calls to mind St. Elmo's Fire and other post-collegiate affairs -- it just looks like it was shot in the mid-80s alongside its predecessors. Veteran indie producer Galt Niederhoffer adapts and directs from her novel. We're surprised the notion of Paquin vs. Holmes hasn't generated more buzz...
Broome, Australia, 1965: Willy (McKenzie) is an Aboriginal teenager who enrolls at a Catholic boarding school at his mother's request. Clashing with strict headmaster Father Benedictus (Rush), Willy ditches school and, with the help of a hobo, two hippie travelers and their kombi van, he looks to make his way back home -- with Father Beneditcus in hot pursuit.

BND is an Australian export loosely based on one of the country's most popular musicals; Stateside, the period Outback comedy hasn't exactly wowed festival audiences, even with an over-the-top performance by Geoffrey Rush.
Book-smart teenager Cal Chetley (Graye) joins his school's wrestling team as a way to rekindle his relationship with his brother (Cena), who himself for the death of their father in a car accident years ago.

World Wrestling Entertainment has reworked its film formula by placing their heroes in supporting roles behind Hollywood actors for their upcoming films. Legendary feels as though they might start to court Faith-based audiences as well?
